Soundtrack to My Life

This week, we're kicking it back to the '90s with the iconic hip-hop track "Changes" by Tupac. This powerful anthem of resilience and hope was my rallying cry during my battle with financial instability. As I fought to pay off $25,000 in credit card debt, living with my in-laws, the lyrics reverberated in my mind, serving as a mantra of change and a call to action.

It’s time for us as people to start making some changes.

Let’s change the way we eat, let’s change the way we live, and let’s change the way we treat eachother.

You see, the old way working, so it’s on us to do what we gotta do… to survive.

Tupac

Not only did this song help me get through tough times, but it also reminded me that the power to make changes lies within us. I hope that Tupac's words inspire you this week as they did for me.

Building Courage

Courage can be a daunting concept. You might picture a lion-hearted warrior or an intrepid explorer. But courage, true courage, starts with small acts.

Let's begin this week with a simple task: say 'hello' to five strangers.

It might seem insignificant, but this small interaction can be a stepping stone on your path to developing courage. Take this step and share your experiences with me.

We all have moments of doubt and uncertainty. For me, one of the most daunting periods was my initial days as an entrepreneur. I remember being filled with doubts, wondering if I was up to the task. I overcame them by reminding myself that every successful person was once in my shoes, just starting out and filled with uncertainty.

I want you to know that doubt is a part of the journey, not an obstacle to it. It is a sign that you're pushing your boundaries. So, what self-doubts are you currently grappling with?

Communicate with Power

Effective communication is an art, a skill that requires practice and patience. This week's tip is about the power of the pause.

While public speaking, we often underestimate the impact of a well-placed pause. It gives the audience time to absorb your words, adds emphasis to your message, and allows you to breathe and collect your thoughts. Incorporate meaningful pauses into your speeches and notice the difference.

Remember, change isn't just possible, it's a promise. We'll continue this journey of growth and transformation together, and I look forward to connecting with you again later this week for a deeper dive into Building Courage.

Stay motivated,

Hugo
